Employment Law Attorney

Saber is seeking seasoned employment law attorneys who enjoy working directly with clients from beginning to end on a case. If you are looking to build your own practice, and work with a team on sophisticated advice and counseling, compliance and transactional work, and litigation matters, Saber wants you.

Help us build out and strengthen our employment law practice, including:

  • compliance advice and counseling
  • audits and workplace investigations
  • preparation of employee handbooks and policies and procedures
  • harassment prevention and management training
  • representations before administrative agencies
  • defense of lawsuits ranging from single plaintiff to class and PAGA litigations arising in state and federal courts and arbitration proceedings.

Litigation Attorney

Are you a litigation attorney with a minimum of three years litigation/trial experience who wants a diversified practice including employment, fair housing and complex business and personal injury litigation? At Saber Law Group, you will have the opportunity to work both with our experienced litigation and trial attorneys, and to manage your own clients and cases in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.

Legal Secretary

Description:

This full-time position provides direct litigation and executive assistance supporting attorneys, including a shareholder, on our litigation team. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of working experience as a litigation secretary or legal assistant.

Summary:

This position offers a broad range of responsibilities requiring litigation and administrative skills. Responsibilities will include calendaring, court filings, creating and editing pleadings, and litigation client electronic file maintenance. You also will assist in maintaining all aspects of the attorneys’ practices through effective communications, prioritization, calendaring, phone coverage, records management, time entry, and coordinating meetings and travel. Strong organizational skills, high client service focus, proficient technical skills (including WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPoint), and the ability to multitask are essential. The ability to be a flexible team player and work with colleagues and attorneys is a must. This position also requires regular and professional interaction with clients, including General Counsel, HR members, CEOs, and their assistants. Working well under pressure, a professional demeanor, good judgment, self-starting, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary, as well as reliability, punctuality, and regular and reliable attendance. This position requires two days per week of in-office work, with remote work available for up to three days after the initial training period. The initial training period will require 3 to 4 days in the office per week for up to three weeks.

Summer Associate Program (Open for 2025)

Saber Law Group is looking for two to three highly qualified rising 3L candidates interested in litigation and/or employment law for our Summer Program (10 weeks, June through August). In our Summer Program you will be given substantive research and writing assignments in a variety of practice areas including employment law, commercial litigation and employment advice and counseling, as well as opportunities to participate in client meetings, negotiations, court hearings, depositions, and other real-world law firm work experiences.

We believe in cultivating the talent of tomorrow. As a result, while we have a hybrid work model, Summer Associates should plan to be in office at least three days each week for mentorship and collaborating with attorneys and staff. Candidates will also be considered for part-time law clerk positions for the remainder of the school year. Those graduating candidates who have completed our Summer Program may also be considered for full time associate positions following passage of the bar examination. Summer Associates receive a $30,000 stipend paid over the course of the 10-week program. Part-time law clerks are paid an hourly rate of $70.00.

Candidates must have excellent law school and undergraduate academic credentials. Strong writing, analytical and communication skills are required. Law review, journal participation, moot court and/or demonstrated relevant employment experience are preferred. Candidates should have demonstrated connections or interest in starting their legal career in Northern California. Please submit your cover letter, resume, entire 1L and 2L first semester transcripts (unofficial is acceptable) and a brief writing sample. In your cover letter, please explain your interest in litigation and/or employment law.
